Foresthill woman expected to get 4-year prison sentence

-A +A
The dramatic altercation between a Foresthill woman and her boyfriend is expected to reach a legal end Wednesday. Traci Nicole Gilson, 21, will be sentenced in a Roseville courtroom. Gilson was arrested in November on charges relating to a fight with her boyfriend, Allan Lane Scott, during which she set him on fire. Gilson pleaded guilty in March to one count of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury. She also admitted to an allegation that she personally inflicted great bodily injury on a victim under circumstances involving domestic violence. At Wednesday’s sentencing, she is expected to formally receive a four-year prison term. Gilson’s conviction will count as a strike on her criminal record, which means if she ever faces a future conviction, her sentence could be doubled. Gilson is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Department 31 in the Bill Santucci Justice Center in Roseville. - Jenifer Gee
