Graffiti is vandalism, not an artform

Graffiti is not art. Spray-painting someone else’s property is not art. The vandals are not artists. It is pure vandalism (Journal, May 5). My desk at work faces the windows looking out to our parking lot and the railroad tracks across the street. It is so pathetic and scary to see all of the graffiti on all of the trains as they pass. It is so obvious parents are not doing their job of teaching their kids to have respect for other people’s property. How sad. I will keep calling the Auburn Police Department to report graffiti in town. I don’t want to see the damage the vandals do. Sally Palmer Dawley, Auburn
