Rishel completes CHP training Chad Rishel of Loomis has successfully completed cadet training at the California Highway Patrol Academy. He has been assigned to duty at the CHP’s Oakland Area office. Officer Rishel is a 1998 graduate of Del Oro High School in Loomis. He also attended Sierra College in Rocklin. Prior to joining the CHP, he was employed as a flooring contractor. Officer Rishel's stepbrother, Richard Davis, is a sergeant who is assigned to duty at the CHP’s San Andreas Area office. Cuneo, Tracy complete training PFC Michael P. Cuneo of Newcastle, son of Mike and Julie Cuneo, and PFC Nathaniel S. Tracy of Auburn, son of Dean and Patti Tracy, completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. PFC Cuneo graduated as Platoon 1043 Squad Leader and PFC Tracy graduated as Platoon 1043 Honorman. These are the top honors in the company of 475 men. They both also received Expert Riflemen. Michael and Nate have been best friends since birth. They signed together under the buddy system. Upon completion of their next training ITB at SOI West, Camp Pendleton they will be given their permanent duty station. Michael is a graduate of Forest Lake Christian School. Nathaniel was attending Sierra College as well as working at Hall’s Automotive prior to enlistment. Talor Babyak makes dean’s list Talor Babyak of Foresthill was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Haven for the fall 2010 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible. Michael Gulland reports for duty Navy Seaman Apprentice Michael R. Gulland, son of Mary and Ross Gulland of Georgetown, recently reported for duty at Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center, Virginia Beach, Va. Gulland is a 2007 graduate of Golden Sierra High School.
