Janet North will be missed

-A +A
As a former board member and president of the Auburn Symphony, I wanted to echo the comments made by current president, Bill Kenney (Reader Input, Sept. 16). Janet North was an inspiration to all of the people who have volunteered their time and money to bring classical music to the foothills. Janet, and her husband, Bill, opened their hearts, home and pocketbook to support the cherished jewel that is the Auburn Symphony. I will never forget the wonderful evening event at the North’s home when Maestro Michael Goodwin entertained us on their new grand piano. My most sincere sympathy goes out to her husband, her family and all the fabulous musicians and friends. This season, and for years to come, she will be remembered, revered and deeply missed.
