Let Amgen respect locals

I’m not going to judge the Amgen Tour of California, but I am going to express myself over the parking issue. People living near the downtown area are being inconvenienced by the no parking zones. Signs are posted on residential side streets, not to park. Is this right? This means they must readjust their lives around this event. They live here! Here’s a helpful solution for those involved: (1) re-route the race away from the residential areas; (2) simply have their riders go around the parked cars. Please consider these suggestions for the sake of the people living near the downtown area. Thank you! ALLEN CASSIDY, Auburn
