Measure K fail not the problem

I now know how the (Lincoln) City Council will be using the failure of Measure K. They have to cut police because Measure K did not pass. They have to close or curtail hours at the library because Measure K did not pass. They have to cut fire services because Measure K did not pass. Measure K is not the problem. Maybe a little foresight by our city leaders could have seen Lincoln’s deficit coming and addressed it then. That is where the problem stems from. The voters did not want to bail out the poor financial decisions made in the past by passing Measure K. The people have spoken. Now let’s see what our city leaders can do to rectify our financial woes without putting an added new tax to the already overtaxed citizens of Lincoln. Armando Mayorga, Lincoln
