Welcome to the Auburn Journal’s “Noon Hour Update,” where we’ll present you with stories and updates on what’s going on in the news and what we’re working on for our Tuesday edition.

What we’re working on: Raley’s and workers resume contract talks and Reporter Gus Thomson looks into what that means for local employees and their customers.

As the recovery continues on the East Coast from a series of storms, locals find themselves helping get the lights back on. Reporter Jon Schultz has a story on a local PG&E worker who is part of the effort.

With Thanksgiving almost here the Salvation Army of Auburn is working on putting together its annual community Thanksgiving dinner. Donations are needed for this year’s event and Reporter Gloria Young will have a story on how people can get involved and what the event entails.
