Ophir concrete plant meeting Feb. 5 in North Auburn

The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency will hold a community meeting Feb. 5 on the Livingston's Concrete batch plant proposal in Ophir. People will have a chance to hear a description of the project, review site plans, ask questions of the project proponents and the various county departments, and make comments. The meeting will take place at the Placer County Community Development Resource Center in North Auburn, 3091 County Center Drive It will begin at 7 p.m. in the Planning Commission Hearing Room. The proposed project would be built on five acres located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Geraldson Road and Ophir Road, between Ophir Road and Interstate 80. The site is zoned for industrial uses. Supervisor Jim Holmes, whose district takes in Ophir, requested the meeting. "We understand residents have interest in this project,” he said. “That's why we are holding this meeting - so they can more easily ask questions.” – Gus Thomson
