Organization seeking more advocates

-A +A
An Auburn-based organization is looking for more male volunteers to help foster youth of Placer County. Volunteers with the Child Advocates of Placer County act as mentors to foster children and also as the eyes of the court, interviewing those involved with a child’s life and reporting back to a judge on that child’s situation. The organization is currently looking for more male volunteers to mentor male youth. Interested community members can sign up for one of two upcoming orientations: 6-7 p.m. April 11 at the Rocklin Police Department at 4080 Rocklin Road and 6-7 p.m. April 18 at the organization’s office at 11641 Blocker Drive in Auburn. For more information or to sign up call the Child Advocates of Placer County at (530) 887-1006. Training for new volunteers begins in May. ~Staff report
