People must strike out boldly

President’s (2012 State of the Union address) message “hope and change,” again! The fact is America has had three years of hope and change rhetoric; the patient – hemorrhaging; crying aloud for the electorate to engage its “moral compass” and right the ship! I give the president credit for allowing U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6 to take out Osama bin Laden, which he did reluctantly. I’ll also credit him for a grassroots effort especially by the Tea Party Patriots and other groups to bring about serious discussion as to which direction is best for our country. A country of freedom, an America of promise, a solvent America that can pay its bills, protect its citizens, create “real” jobs in a private economy without onerous government regulations; or that of a Fabian socialist country (Fabians believed in gradual nationalization of the economy through manipulation of the democratic process). It appears to me the president is either a Fabian socialist or has failed the litmus test of a true leader and has no clue on what a free-market economy is or how to fix it. Classic example:?all those shovel-ready jobs the president hyped and none were created. My dog created more shovel-ready jobs! To make matters worse, the president and Senate partisan politicians are raising the debt ceiling yet again, adding $1.2 trillion, bringing the total debt ceiling to $16.4 trillion which is unsustainable, irresponsible and grossly reckless with “we the people’s” money! The political “gene pool” has become so grossly polluted that there seems to have been a seismic shift in “common sense” and leadership! America is either a “constitutional” republic or it is not. Freedom and serfdom cannot coexist, period! One only has to look to the failures in Europe to see what awaits us if we continue down this path the current administration has us going! 2012 is a year that we must strike out boldly not merely to avert a national bankruptcy but to say to the next generation that America is still the world’s premier land of opportunity!
