The couple and their family marked the event with dinner at The Ahwahnee Hotel and en-joyed several days of family time in Yosemite.

Joining them for the occasion were sons Gregg and Phil, daughters-in-law Maria and Patricia and two grandchildren, all of Rocklin.

Peter and Janet moved to Rocklin in 1976, where Peter has been active in the community, most notably serving as a councilmember for the city of Rocklin for almost 30 years.

A native of Auburn, Janet (maiden name Harvey) is the daughter of Barbara Gordon and granddaughter of Dave and Effa Lardner Gordon. Peter is the son of W.I. “Bill” (former Boy Scout executive for the Tahoe Area Council) and Priscilla Hill.

They met while both were students in Auburn – Janet at Placer High School and Peter at Sierra College.
