Citing unprecedented and ongoing state budget cuts, the Placer County Superior Court clerk’s offices, telephone services and Legal Help Center will be reducing hours beginning Oct. 5, according to a press release from the court.

The change does not affect Monday through Thursday but on Fridays the following operating hours will be in effect:

  • Santucci Justice Center in Roseville and Tahoe City Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Santucci Justice Center’s Legal Help Center from 8 to 11 a.m.

  • Juvenile Courthouse in Auburn from 8 a.m. to noon

Hours remain the same for the Historic Courthouse in Auburn; it is open from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Since the reduced Friday hours do not constitute a holiday, statutory deadlines will not be extended. The court also announced eight limited service days through 2012-13, a majority of which are this November and December.

The state budget cuts include a $2.5 million funding reduction for the current fiscal year, according to the court’s release.
