Police were investigating leads Friday in connection to the theft of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle from in front of a tattoo shop this past week. Resident Josh Daniels reported the 1992 FXR all-black motorcycle stolen on Tuesday and police believe it was taken sometime during the night before, according to Auburn Police Detective Dustin McLaughlin. McLaughlin said the department does have some leads it is looking into and could have to write some search warrants to get more information. Detectives are re-watching surveillance footage to see if they can get any more information about the theft, including a better description of the suspect, McLaughlin said. According to McLaughlin, the motorcycle’s license plate number is 18C9046. The motorcycle also has a skull with flames design on the right side. Daniels told the Journal he is offering a $1,000 reward for the bike’s return. Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to call McLaughlin at (530) 823-4237, ext. 221. ~Bridget Jones
