Power’s Mansion Inn earned its ‘Best of Best’

-A +A
I don’t know how many Auburnites know of the treasure they have in the Power’s Mansion Inn B&B. My wife, Sally, and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 26 with a party held in the ballroom located in the Livingston Building on High Street. The owners are Alfred and Peggy Lee and they will cater any type of event. They made our anniversary a special time that will never be forgotten. Alfred looked after every detail so that we could relax and enjoy our special day with friends and relatives. There was great care in preparing the excellent dinner. The wonderful staff tended to our every need. Several of us spent the night in the Power’s Mansion and were treated to a delicious breakfast Sunday morning. The mansion was built in 1884 and has been restored in recent years with each room having a different theme. The walls in the hallways are lined with historic photos of Auburn and the surrounding area. Alfred is a historian and genuinely cares about Auburn, where we have lived for almost 50 years. We can’t recommend the facility highly enough. No wonder the Power’s Mansion has been voted “Best of the Best” for several years. Roger and Sally Perkins Auburn
