In response to Michael Keeffe’s letter of Dec. 27 (“Blaming the weapon misses the mark”), I’m glad he feels safe and secure in his home.
Everyone should feel safe in their home. But the argument that the guns are making him safe doesn’t hold up. Adam Lanza’s mother had guns in her home that she knew how to use safely. She had also trained her son to use the guns safely. None of that kept her safe in her home.
