Reader Input: Regulate the barrooms

-A +A

It seems to me there should be a limit to how many times the Auburn Journal will print the bragging the law enforcement is doing.
Almost every day they print how many people that get their lives ruined. I’m talking about DUI arrests. If it’s about money, then why don’t they arrest the bar owners? Ninety percent or maybe more are guilty of getting people too drunk to drive.
In Iowa, law enforcement goes around to busy bars at midnight or later to see if anyone is drunk. If one person is drunk the bar owner has to close on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. — no exceptions — for a period of six months.
