The first annual Sierra College Youth Football Camp is taking place from June 10-13 at the Rocklin college.

The camp is open for students grades K-8 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $175. Fees include quality instruction, fundamentals, team play and fun.

New Sierra football coach Ben Noonan is the camp director.

Noonan is the former Citrus College offensive coordinator. During his first four years at Citrus, Noonan’s quarterbacks set school records for yards, completions and touchdowns.

Noonan has also held various positions at Baylor University, West Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Mendocino College.

Camp counselors, composed of Sierra College student-athletes, will assist the football staff at the camp.

The camp hopes to get kids involved in sports, and its goal is to have youths develop the skills necessary to play football in a non-contact setting.
