Signs should tell motorists to call local agency, not 911

-A +A
Since our daughter wrote a letter about reporting drunk drivers to 911 (“Calling 911 to report drunken driver a joke,” Your Views, June 10), she has been swamped with calls from people wanting to give her the phone numbers for the local police and CHP offices. We appreciate their concern and help, but the problem still remains. All our taxpayer monies went into making and installing signs along the roads instructing motorists to call 911! I guess we need to spend more of our money to make new signs with the local cities’ numbers on them. Dee Ann Bast Meadow Vista
