A one acre grass fire marked the start of the Fourth of July fire threat on Monday. The Roseville Fire Department was notified of the first fire of the summer holiday at 12:36 p.m. The fire, which burned behind the Pinnacle at Galleria Apartment complex off of Roseville Parkway across from the Galleria Mall, was caused by a smoke bomb set off by a minor. The fire lasted 20 minutes and did not cause any damage to neighboring buildings. According to Battalion Chief Kevin Morris, the Roseville Fire Department is expecting more throughout the Independence Day holiday. "We always get more," Morris said.
