The award-winning, Take Note Troupe is staging “The Tempest,” considered by some to be Shakespeare’s most autobiographical work. There are obvious similarities between Shakespeare and Prospera, the main character, who uses the power found in her magic books to control and direct the actions of the other inhabitants on the isle in this tale of tragedy and transformation. TNT's fresh interpretation brings a condensed, refreshing staging that emphasizes ensemble work while preserving the language as Shakespeare wrote it.
This interactive presentation invites students on stage to step into scenes from the play and is the perfect introduction and invitation to experience a full staging of Shakespeare's final masterpiece.
