Tommy Sawyer threw two touchdown passes and running backs Rocky Thompson and Wes Archbold each ran for a score, as Foresthill beat visiting Woodland Christian 28-6 Friday night in a league game.

The Wildfires (3-1, 2-0 Sacramento Metro Athletic League) led 28-0 at halftime.

Patrick Miles and Casey Perez each recorded two sacks, and Matt O’Brien and Nick Vasquez both had an interception.

“Our defense did a fantastic job,” coach Jim Herlehy said.

The Wildfires rushed for a total of 265 yards, getting 139 from Archbold and 68 from quarterback Sawyer.
