Volunteers and donations needed for holiday program

-A +A
A huge community thank-you is deserved to Meadow Vista and surrounding communities for supporting our first Toys for Breakfast fundraiser Nov. 8. Our goals of bringing the community together for breakfast and raising some funds for our Christmas Toy Baskets was accomplished. Due to the large amount of community residents needing a helping hand during this holiday season, we are still in need of toys. Should you be able to help, there are ornaments located at Wells Fargo in Meadow Vista. Each ornament represents a child in our area who is in need of a present to make their Christmas brighter. Monetary donations are needed to help with the purchasing of food to place in the Christmas Baskets. The club purchases the main course for Christmas dinner along with fresh vegetables and fruits. In the past we have supplied enough food to last for the two-week Christmas vacation from school. Monetary donations should be payable to The Meadow Vista Friendly Neighbors Club or TMVFNC and mailed to P.O. Box 764, Meadow Vista, CA 95722. Our wish list also includes help assembling the Christmas food baskets, Friday, Dec. 19, from 4 to 7 pm at Sierra Hills School auditorium. For further information, please contact any Friendly Neighbor or myself at (530) 637-5359. Thank you for helping those in need in our community.
