Youth under great pressure

The documentary film, “A Race to Nowhere,” is an urgent event to see for students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, grandparents and all Auburn people who regard our youth as precious persons to whom we are leaving this country and all it encompasses. We must be concerned how stressed out many of our young people are with the pressures of school, homework, tests, possibly a job, sports and then rest and time for family and friends. This movie will help understand their lives, and how solutions may be found after starting dialogues about the problems. I would also like to acknowledge and recognize the letters to the paper written by students. You have made special efforts in your busy schedules to express your thoughts and ideas. They have much value and have serious impact on readers. Thank you. DORI DRALLE, 87 years, great-grandmother, Auburn
