The inaugural Tahoe-Sierra Ultra-Endurance Mountain Bike Race got underway Saturday morning starting at French Meadows. The solo single lap 100 course included 14,000 feet of climbing through the Sierra Nevada mountains. The event also included a team stage race. Put on by Global Biorhythm the race was the final season race in the National Ultra Endurance Racing series with $15,000 offered in prize money. Attracting top national athletes, Trek Team riders Chris Eatough and Jeremiah Bishop crossed the finish line of the grueling event together.
