Kathy Van Dam takes a strolls through her grove picking the last of herapples with her two dogs, Oso and Star. One of Kathy Van Dam’s hobbies is making fresh bread from scratch. Kathy Van Dam helps maintain 30 fruit trees on her ranch includingmandarins. Van Dam gathers fresh eggs produced by her chickens daily. At a recent Girl Scout leadership meeting, Van Dam organizes the popularevent Thinking Day with other troop members, where troops learn about othertroops around the world. Over her 16 years involved in Girl Scouts, Kathy Van Dam has collected hundreds of patches and pins. Van Dam has been involved in Girl Scouts for the past 16 years where sheleads troops in many events including Thinking Day. Kathy Van Dam gets a flower barrette from Girl Scout Kyra Kappos at a recentcookie rally event. Kathy Van Dam visits with this year's Girl Scout cookie mascott, a dolphin. Kobi Hill, Girl Scout Brownie, gets a toast from Kathy Van Dam at WorldThinking Day on Sunday, February 16th. Kathy Van Dam spends approximately 40 hours a month volunteering for GirlScouts.
