"It was cool," said Garcia, with his mom behind him, of his first helicopter ride. Garcia flashes the peace sign to the waiting crowd as he returns from the aerial tour. As the helicopter takes flight, Susan puts a hand on Garcia's shoulder and could feel him "tensing up" when he got excited. With his parents right behind him, Garcia excitedly waits for takeoff. Bartczak explains where he'll be taking Garcia and his parents before takeoff. Pegasus Project founder and pilot Lance Bartczak, along with wife and Pegasus Project secretary Marie (right) presents Garcia with a plaque, hat and stuffed pegasus to commemorate the non-profit's first flight and Andrew its inagural recipient. "We at the Pegasus Project are honored he (Andrew) will forever remain our first," said Bartzcak. Andrew Garcia was Pegasus Project's first helicopter ride recipient. On the sunny yet cold Saturday morning, Garcia waits for the flight to begin with his parents, Susan and David.
